The one thing that saves my sanity is that my good friend Kendell (and her husband, Marty) are going to be traveling before us and will drench our sweet boy in love and kisses, and make sure he knows that he's wanted and loved. These wonderful people are adopting not one, but TWO beautiful boys who are now brothers. Eli and Isaac are awaiting some test results that will be in any day now, which will allow their very anxious parents to travel and bring them home, finally. Kendell is now the proud mama to 8 (yes, I said EIGHT) gorgeous children!
On another note, we are finally moved into our new house and are settling in quite nicely. No more boxes in the house, and most things are where they should be. The boys love our new place and their new room. The pic below is of Shimeles' new bed. We made it official and hung the letters of his American name -- Eli, short for Elliot. So he will be Elliot Shimeles Tegene Briola. Got a nice ring to it, don't 'cha think?
So all you prayerful folks out there, send one up for our little Eli, that he is happy and loved until we get a court date and can bring him home to a new, brighter future!
And here's a couple of pics of my boys, enjoying the last days of summer, which for us, translate to ---- ICE CREAM! Ian always opts for chocolate, and today, Kai branched out and tried "Birthday Cake", which turned his tongue a lovely shade of not-found-in-nature-blue. Yummy!
And here's one of my boys, enjoying a brotherly snuggle. All together now.... "Awwwwwww."

You KNOW I will be drenching that boy in all kinds of love and kisses!!! He will be sick of me by the time we leave! Praying for that court date of yours, friend. I know how badly you just want him home.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the family picture! SUPER CUTE!!!
I'm so sorry you didn't get a court date :( Hang in there. Dive into stuff at home, stay off the computer a bit (way easier said than done) and time will fly by. I can't wait to see his picture!
